The University of Kashmir has announced admission for PG programmes through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (formerly Directorate of Distance Education) for the academic session 2025. In view of availability of seats, fresh On-line Applications are invited from the eligible candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from recognized Universities /Institutions for admission to the below mentioned PG Programmes offered via the Distance mode of the University of Kashmir for the academic session 2025- 2026. The candidates are advised to peruse the Prospectus-2025/Admission Policy, available on the University Website, thoroughly and check eligibility/other details before submitting their Application Forms:

Candidates applying for the distance mode must know they meet the eligibility criteria as per the university notification. For subjects where core or generic elective credits are required, applicants must have earned at least 12 credits at the undergraduate level in the same subject for which they want to apply. For courses with open eligibility, such as MA Islamic Studies, candidates from any graduation discipline can apply For Masters via Distance Mode.
Dual Degree Opportunity by the University
In accordance with UGC guidelines 2025, the University of Kashmir offers dual degree options to students. This allows candidates to pursue one degree in regular mode and another in distance mode at a time. Candidates must also ensure their mobile number is linked with Aadhaar for eligibility and other updates.

How to Apply Online
- Visit the official website University of Kashmir website or www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in and click on the “Admissions” tab in the home page of website.
- Click the link for “PG Programmes (Distance Mode)” and enter your Graduation Registration Number, and proceed further for the next step.
- Fill in all required details and upload a recent passport-sized photograph.
- Review the details, make corrections if necessary, and submit the form. Print the submitted final form and note the Form Number for future reference that will be used during the admission process for the course.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 550 online.
- After two days, check the application status. Ensure it shows “Fee Received.” Incomplete or unpaid applications will be rejected.
- Apply early to avoid last-minute technical issues. The University will not be responsible for delays due to last-minute submissions.
Application Form and Fee Verification
Candidates should check the status of their application and fee reconciliation three days after submission. If the status is not updated to “Fee Received” or “Form Accepted,” they must contact the IT Cell near DSW Office, Rumi Gate, along with the application form, fee receipt, and supporting documents by 11-09-2025. Applications not verified by this date will not be considered.

The Directorate will not verify educational or category certificates at the time of online submission. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure they meet all eligibility requirements for these courses as per the notification. Documents will be verified at the time of completion of admission formalities. Admission may be cancelled if eligibility criteria are not met or if any false information is found.
