A total of 30 posts have opened for the Court Master (Shorthand). The process of application for these posts is to be done only in the online mode. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:

  • The minimum age limit is 30 years.
  • The maximum age limit is 45 years.
  • Age relaxation is admissible for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-servicemen, and other categories as per the Government of India rules.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Degree from any recognized university in India.
  • Proficiency in Shorthand (English) with a speed of 120 words per minute (w.p.m.).
  • Knowledge of computers with a total typing speed of 40 w.p.m. on a computer.

Application Fee

The fee can be paid online through the payment gateway on the official website.

  • For General/OBC candidates: ₹1,500 + bank charges.
  • For SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen/Persons with Disabilities: ₹750 + bank charges.

Selection Process

It consists of multiple stages designed to test the necessary skills.

  1. Shorthand Test: The candidates will be given a dictation at 120 w.p.m. for a total of 7 minutes. They will then get 45 minutes to transcribe it. The maximum marks are 100, and the minimum qualifying mark is 50.
  2. Objective Type Written Test: This test has 100 multiple-choice questions. The total marks are 100. The minimum qualifying marks are 50 for the General category and 45 for the reserved categories.
  3. Typing Speed Test on Computer: Candidates must type at 40 w.p.m. for 10 minutes. General category candidates are allowed 2% mistakes (8 words). The maximum marks are 20.
  4. Interview: Candidates who clear the above tests will be called for an interview. The maximum marks for the interview are 30. The minimum qualifying marks are 15 for the General category and 13 for the reserved categories.

Pay Scale

The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 11 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The initial basic pay will be ₹67,700 per month.
